COMMUNITY SUPPORT

We are pleased to be able to offer support of all kinds to programs in our Fort Wayne community that are committed to health, wellness, and medical education. Whether your organization needs volunteers or monetary donations, we'd love to help where we can.
MEDICAL SCHOOL LIAISON
​​
Our Medical Student Liaison Committee organizes and provides healthy snacks for the medical students to aid them during their busy schedules, co-hosts the Annual Welcome BBQ, assists the student-led Trunk or Treat Fundraiser, and offers general support throughout the year for students.
DOCTOR'S DAY
​
​It is the day when the Alliance endeavors to educate children in the science of medicine, by providing them the opportunity to visit with doctors, nurses, dietitians, and other health care professionals to learn about careers in medicine. In addition, this event makes available important general health information to children and their families.
CINDERELLA DRESS DAY
​​
Any female high school student may attend Cinderella Dress Day, and will be invited to select a dress and participate in brief educational sessions. Since its inception over 20 years ago, it is estimated that over 4,200 dresses have been given to young ladies in our community.
SCHOLARSHIPS
​
Throughout the Alliance's 80+ year history, providing health career scholarships has been a vital component in our mission. We currently partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Boys and Girls Club, and Easterseals Arc to continue this strong tradition.
LEGISLATION
​
​The Alliance has demonstrated active participation at local, state, and national levels in ways that successfully impact our community and the practices of our area's physicians. Constant monitoring and dispensing information through the Alliance communication network keeps us up-to-date on the most important legislation.
