Cinderella Dress Day

 Cinderella Dress Day is held each spring as a community service event for young women in our community.  

Any female high school student may attend Cinderella Dress Day, and will be invited to select a dress and participate in brief educational sessions.  Since its inception seventeen years ago, it is estimated that over 2,400 dresses have been given to young ladies in our community, with a value of over $240,000.

This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9a-2p, at a new location at the IPFW International Ballroom in the Walb Student Union building, located at 2101 E. Coliseum Blvd., Ft. Wayne, 46805.  You do not need to make an appointment to attend, rather this is an 'open house' type of event that operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Although the Alliance hosts this event annually, we do so thanks in no small part to our 12-year community partner, Peerless Cleaners.  Two times a year, in February and March, Peerless Cleaners holds a 4-week campaign to collect gently-used dresses for the event.  We're excited to partner with Star 88.3 again this year and are grateful for their outreach and support of   our cause.

Information on a variety of health-related   topics will made available at the event,   including exhibits on the dangers of social   media and health and welfare safety for young women at this critical moment in their teenage years.
