Medical School Welcome BBQ 2024

Our annual BBQ to welcome IU School of Medicine students was held on

Wednesday, August 7, 2024 on the medical school campus.

​

This yearly event is co-hosted by the FWMS-Alliance and the IUSoM-FW faculty and staff, with sponsorship also provided by the ISMA-Alliance, meat by Mr. Kirk Davis of Edward Jones, and an ice cream truck courtesy of the Fort Wayne Medical Society Foundation.

The evening is also host to area physicians, residents and their families for an opportunity to showcase Fort Wayne hospitality to all incoming students and residents.

With food, fun, games and prizes, this well-attended event is always a highlight of summer. The annual tug-of-war match up between the 1st year and 2nd year students concluded with a victory by the 1st years!
