The Alliance has a rich history spanning 8 decades in our commitment to education
and providing health career scholarships; sponsoring nearly 60 scholarships in just the past 15 years.
Our recent affiliations include: Tapestry, Vincent Village, and The Boys & Girls Club.
We were pleased to participate again in this year's Tapestry: A Day for You event held on Friday, May 3, 2019
as a Scholarship Table Sponsor in partnership with the Fort Wayne Medical Society ($4000).
This event raised funds for students studying in the College of Health and Human Services at Purdue University-Fort Wayne,
having raised nearly $1 million in scholarship funds awarded to 89 students over the last 17 years.
This year’s keynote speaker was award-winning anchor and correspondent, Elizabeth Vargas.
Alliance members with Tapestry scholarship recipients
We were proud to partner with Vincent Village this Spring, to offer a $1700 scholarship that provided tuition
and testing fees for two students to attend a CNA/QMA program.
Vincent Village is an invaluable organization in our community that provides shelter and supportive services
for 45-50 homeless families each year.
Through providing basic needs, life skills training, the HOME Academy Education & Employment Program,
and case management; residents are empowered to achieve a higher level of self-sufficiency.
While families may stay in the shelter up to two years, the average stay is 96 days. For more information, click here!
