Doctor's Day 2019
On Saturday, March 2, 2019, our 24th Annual Doctor's Day was held at Science Central
from 10a-3p, with FREE admission all day, thanks to the continued and generous sponsorship of:
Over 1800 visitors to the event enjoyed:
40 interactive booths featuring health-related and medical career information!
Teddy Bear Care Clinic sponsored by Lutheran Children’s Hospital
Learning about germs with a microscope from Parkview Health Laboratories
Meeting students from Marian Osteopathic Medical School
IU Medical School –FW students sharing brain, lung, heart and spinal cord specimens
Seeing an ambulance and interacting with medical staff
Engaging with physicians and residents from the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program
Touring the Parkview Samaritan and Lutheran Air helicopters and visiting with staff
Having a removable finger cast made at the orthopedic booth
Prizes and food bags sponsored by Alliance members given throughout the day
Appearances by Icy D. Eagle and the Fort Wayne Mad Ant
Live demonstrations in the Lincoln Financial Foundation Theater featuring: “Mr. Mad Ant” Ron Howard from Optimum Performance Sports, Dr. Ryan Singerman on childhood obesity, cow eye dissection with Dr. Dan Krach, and much more!
