The FWMS Alliance is a charitable organization whose members are spouses of physicians in Fort Wayne, Indiana and the surrounding communities. The Alliance is a designated charitable organization under the 501(c)3 umbrella of the Fort Wayne Medical Society Foundation.

 

The Fort Wayne Medical Society Alliance has existed since 1939. Our membership is comprised of physician families and friends of the Alliance (non-physician families). We also sponsor membership for the spouses of our FW Medical School students, and through our affiliation with the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program, family medicine resident spouses are included in our membership at no cost to them.

 

The focus of the Alliance is to serve as community advocates to promote health education, sponsor and raise funds for local health programs and scholarships. Additionally, we provide health care education and affect legislation that protects quality healthcare and allows physicians to practice for the ultimate benefit of their patients.
